In the Emergency Medical Science program at Johnston Community College, you’ll gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence to respond effectively in real-life emergencies. Treating Trauma, Cardiac, and Breathing Emergencies – Learn how to recognize and respond to life-threatening injuries and conditions using proper emergency care techniques.

When you complete the Emergency Medical Science program at Johnston Community College, you’ll be prepared to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) exam, your key to becoming a certified paramedic. Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) – Provide basic life support, patient transport, and rapid response to emergencies.
