The AE degree includes at least 60 credit hours focused on math, science, communication, and computer skills. It prepares you for transfer into a four-year engineering program.
Courses include English, humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and advanced
math. This well-rounded curriculum helps you meet general education requirements and
explore your interests in engineering.
Through the Associate of Engineering to Bachelor's of Science in Engineering Articulation Agreement, you can transfer to one of five University of North Carolina (UNC) engineering schools if you earn at least a 2.5 GPA and a grade of “C” or better in all courses. Admission is competitive and not guaranteed.
The Associate in Engineering degree builds strong problem-solving and communication
