Sagan Lampe
Sagan grew up in Johnston County and has served as President of Vesta Enterprises,
Inc., since the Spring of 2022. During her tenure, she has worked to expand the company’s
current Real Estate holdings by adding value to underutilized properties, acquiring
new projects, and developing commercial real estate. In 2025, Sagan directed Vesta
to focus its day-to-day efforts towards preserving affordable assets in the southeastern
United States. The company purchased its first Project Based Section 8 community in
North Carolina in January of 2025 and continues to seek new opportunities in this
space.
Outside of work, Sagan leads the Viribus Foundation, a family foundation whose mission
seeks to “build just and vibrant communities by supporting access to affordable housing,
equitable education, enriching opportunities for all children, and second chances
for individuals seeking a better future.”
Sagan holds a master’s degree in real estate from Georgetown University as well as
her bachelors in both Economics and English from North Carolina State University.
"Higher education should be within reach for every student in Johnston County. I'm
happy to devote my time and resources to Johnston Community College, which serves
this essential community."
Robert Cupp
Robert serves as VP of Operations at UNC Health Johnston. His background includes
20 years of clinical nursing practice, nursing management, and human resources management.
He is a Master's prepared Registered Nurse and board certified as a Nurse Executive.
Robert obtained his Associate Degree in Nursing from Johnston Community College, which
allowed him to continue his journey in healthcare, eventually obtaining his bachelor's
and master's degrees. He credits scholarships he received as a Nursing student at
JCC with helping him reach his academic and professional goals.
“As the current Vice President of Operations at UNC Health Johnston, I often reflect
with great appreciation upon the opportunities provided by JCC and the compassion
of those who provided financial assistance to me and my family those many years ago.”
Skylar Langley
Skylar serves as a Training Administrator at Grifols in Clayton. She was born and
raised in Johnston County and attended North Johnston High and Johnston Community
College at the same time as part of the dual enrollment program. After obtaining her
degree in Secondary Science Education, with a minor in Biology, from East Carolina
University, she taught middle school science for several years.
When she began to learn more about Grifols, Skylar came back home to Johnston Community
College where she completed a certificate in Bio Works, obtained a job as a Biologist
and later moved into her current role at Grifols. During her career transition, she
helped pilot the CC BioWork certificate program to local high schools as well as worked
in the JCC Library to provide biology tutoring to students.
“Giving back to the organizations that helped shape my future, in an effort to help
others achieve the same success, is my passion and continued personal goal.”
